Dry Fruits Halwa Recipe

  • Main Ingridents: almonds, Cashewnuts , desiccated coconut, foxnuts, raisins , milk and ghee.

Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds (badam)
  • ¼ cup cashew nuts (kaju)
  • ¼ cup desiccated coconut.
  • 1/2 cup phool makhana(fox nuts/lotus seeds)
  • 2 tablespoon raisins (kismis)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  •  sugar or to taste
  • Few saffron strands (kesar)(optional)
  • Few deseeded dates (optional
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (akhrot)(optional)

 Method:

  1. Roast all the dry fruits for a minute and coarsely powder them.
  2. Reserve few for garnishing.
  3. Heat the ghee in a Heavy bottom deep pan and roast the dry fruits powder and continue to sauté for two or three minutes.
  4. Add the sugar, milk and saffron.
  5. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, till the sugar dissolves and the mixture attains the consistency of halwa. 
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with the reserved dry fruits and serve hot.
